Welcome to the Deepings Raft Race, one of the highlights of the summer in the Deepings. Held every year on the first Sunday of August, the event has brought the community together on the River Welland since the 1960s. Teams build their own rafts and take to the water in themed races, cheered on by crowds along the riverbank. With plenty of fun, creativity, and friendly competition, the Deepings Raft Race is a fantastic day out for everyone.
The 2026 theme is Marvellous Musicals. Build a raft inspired by favourites from The Sound of Music to modern hits like Six and Wicked, and bring the stage to the river in show-stopping style.
